No-bake Peanut Butter Treats

Duration: 45 mins to 1.5 hrs

Tips:

  • Do NOT use honey if feeding children under 1 years old

  • Allow children to break and smash the crackers/biscuits - but most likely an adult will have to help finish this part

  • If the treats are made into bars, add some bits of crackers/biscuits on top before putting into the fridge

Equipment:

1 small bowl

1 spatula / spoon

Measuring cups

Measuring spoons

Jar/rolling pin

Ziplock bag

Baking tray + parchment paper (optional)

Knife

Ingredients:

1/3 cup chunky peanut butter

1/4 cup honey OR golden syrup

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/3 cup dry milk powder

1/3 cup quick oats

5 pieces of graham crackers OR digestive biscuits

Instructions:

  1. Break 3 crackers/biscuit into as small chunks as possible, put into the ziplock bag

  2. Remove as much air from the bag before sealing it

  3. Using the jar/rolling pin to smash/roll the crackers/biscuits as finely as possible

  4. In a small bowl, combine the peanut butter, honey/golden syrup, and vanilla

  5. Mix in the milk powder, oats, and the finely smashed crackers/biscuits

  6. Scoop the mixture onto the baking tray and parchment paper, flatten it out to has thick as you wish, then using a knife to cut into squares OR scoop up some of the mixture to roll it into a ball

  7. Put it into the refrigerator to make it firm. 

  8. Before eating, let it rest in room temperature for a few minutes if it is too hard.
